My birth story

11.20pm: daddy and mOmmy left hOme fOr TMC.


11.35pm: UpOn arriving at TMC, they gOt their temperature taken & prOceeded tO the cOunter. There was a couple at the registration desk.. while waiting daddy tOOk a videO Of mOmmy..

12.15am: mOmmy was put intO Observation ward.. she was put On ctg tO mOnitOr my heartbeat.. waiting for nurse tO induce after the mOnitOring..

1.00am: mOmmy's felt wet & suspected her waterbag burst..

1.10am: nurse checked and only a bit of water.. she alsO informed that mommy actually dilated to 2.5cm already.. it's natural.. nO need tO insert prOstin fOr inductiOn.. mOmmy was sO happy..

1.40am: nurse came and checked on mommy and stopped the ctg monitoring.. she told mommy if pain is more intensive to infd her so mommy can clear her bowels.. but mommy requested to clear bowels first (prevent history from repeating)..

1.45am: mommy go toilet..


2.00am: mommy is back in bed..


2.15am: nurse is back to do ctg monitoring..

Daddy watched his mOvies tO kill time when mOmmy take a shOrt nap...(there' s nO rOOm available at that time sO they gOt tO stay put @ the ObservatiOn ward)

After a lOng wait...

6.03am: mOmmy was transfered tO labOur ward. She was put On CTG, her cOntractiOn was nOt very gOOd.

8.45am: Dr E came tO checked On mOmmy but realised that her waterbag had yet tO burst sO she burst the waterbag & plenty Of water

9.15am: I was hooked up to the monitor immediately to see the frequency of the contractions, but there were very little so I was placed on the drip to speed things up. Epidural was also administered and my gynae was informed. While waiting for my cervix to dilate, we kept ourselves entertained by watching tv

After so many hours, only another 1cm dilated making it 3cm. I thought with epidural, dilation would come swiftly! I was so wrong!

mOmmy was allOwed tO have sOmething light after waiting fOr sO lOng hOurs...

4.35pm: whaawha.......I was bOrn...Daddy snapped my umbilical cOrd excitedly then I was placed On mOmmy’s chest.

MOmmy felt nauseous & she puked Out whether she had eaten this afternOOn shOrtly after and she remained drOwsy in the delivery suite fOr anOther half hOur...
