I've started to unpack baby things and have begun washing them! Started with a whole load of towels, blankets and bibs. Will probably move on to tiny clothes next :)

HOspital PreparatiOns...

mOmmy... I think it's time fOr yOu tO pack fOr the labour/ hOspital bag:

• HOspital NOtes
• Birth Plan
• NightgOwns (preferably the type you can unbutton in frOnt of easy breastfeeding)
• Maternity bras
• Bra pad
• Maternity sanitary pads
• Small plastic bags for sOiled stuff (persOnal hygiene)
• BedrOOm Slippers
• Nipple Cream
• Dark cOlOured tOwel
• COmfOrtable briefs Or dispOsable underwear
• ClOthes for when leaving the hOspital
• FavOurite tOiletries
• HandphOnes
• NetbOOk
  

For daddy:

• Coins - lots of them for the vending machines
• Camera, storage card/ laptop plus charger (film too if you are not on digital yet)
• Handphones plus charger (if any)
• Videocam plus charger (if any)
• Change of clothes (if bunking in)
• SHAVER (no scratchy chins allowed!)
• Reading materials
  

For me: (if the hospital is not providing any):

• Baby Vests
• Scratch mitts and booties
• Wrapping blanket
• Disposable diapers or nappies
• Preferred baby tOiletries

mOmmy needs to sort them out, washed them with the baby laundry detergent and then pack it nicely into a bag or two.

mOmmy will be almost there! (she left with a week tO cOmplete the abOve tasks)

1st mOnth clOthings...

MOmmy went Suntec tO cOllect my rOmper. At the same time, she was busy brOwsing in the shOp. Guess what she bOught anOther rOmper fOr me.

As the rOmpers dO nOt cOme with matching mittens & bOOties. She had excused tO gO shOpping mOre Often... trying tO lOOk fOr them nOw.

checkup...

MOmmy was in her 38 week tOday. She had acrOss Over 70kg mark. She's 70.8kg nOw. She'd gained 16kg in tOtal. Dr E was surprised that mOmmy had gained 2kg within a week. She asked mOmmy whether she had swOllen feets & mentiOned that water retentiOn will gO away after I've pOpped!!!
(mOmmy blamed daddy fOr the steambOat meal yesterday)

Based on scan and Dr E feeling around mOmmy's tummy, my head is very low & I was about 60% engaged. Water level in mOmmy's water bag is still high, which she says is good.

She tOld mOmmy that:

• If mOmmy's nOt dilated On the next checkup, she will have tO admit On 2nd Jun evening fOr induced. As the inductiOn may need at least 12 hOurs tO take effect sO that I'll be delivered On the 3rd June.

• If mOmmy's dilated On the next checkup, she can admit tO the hOspital On the 3rd June itself fOr inductiOn.

mOmmy's next appOintment will be 28 May. Dr E will dO a cervix check tO see whether mOmmy is dilated.

1st mOnth clOthing...

Daddy brOught mOmmy tO Parkway Parade. They had mini steambOat fOr dinner. After dinner, Daddy bOught a pink rOmper fOr me tO wear it On my 1st mOnth celebratiOn. After checking the clOthes, the buttOn was nOt neatly sew On sO we gOt tO cOllect a new piece frOm suntec branch tOmOrrOw.

mOmmy's a sucker fOr all these pinky clOthes.

checkup...

MOmmy did nOt put On any weight this week. Her weight remained the same - 68.9kg. Her blOOd pressure is nOrmal. The nurse said tO mOmmy that she may need tO run a CTG test. AccOrding tO her, if there is a stangant in weight Or a decrease in weight, it's necessary tO run a CTG test tO ensure that there is baby's mOvement. She will leave it tO Dr E tO decide whether mOmmy need tO run the test.

After Dr E felt mOmmy's belly, I had nOt engaged. Dr E explained tO mOmmy & daddy that usually fOr the 2nd pregnancy, baby will nOt engaged sO sOOn as cOmpared tO the 1st pregnancy. No report on my weight since Dr E says baby wouldn't have gained much over 1 week.

MOmmy alsO gOt her HVS Swab test result shOwing nO grOwth Of pathOgens.

MOmmy's next appOintment will be On the 21 May.

MOmmy went lunch with mOmmy Diddy & mOmmy Kelly @ Marche VivO city. They'd a wOnderful sharing their pregnacny experiences & chit-chatting.

daddy nOt wOrking tOday sO he went shOpping with mOmmy. They went tO baby hypermart tO get a new pink carseat cOver fOr me.

checkup...

mOmmy went fOr checkup tOday. When she arrived @ TMC, she gOt tO queue up tO have her temperature taken due tO swine flu Orange alert. As usual she tOOk her weight & blOOd pressure. She gained 2kg, Dr Eunice suspected that her weight gained might due tO water retentiOn and suggested that she sleep with her legs lifted up at night. MOmmy asked her whether can she delivered On the 3rd June. She said she'll make arrangement fOr mOmmy tO induce On the 3rd itself if I refused tO cOme Out On that day. MOmmy did her HVS culture test as well. She will see me in a week time as the EDD is getting clOser.
